SAINT (Student Aid Internet Technology) Student™ is a hosted, financial aid processing engine that helps colleges simplify the financial aid application and award process for students. SAINT was built to improve access by improving student service, reducing peak season lines, improving counselor efficiency, reducing costs and positively impact enrollment. Unlike off the shelf financial aid modules, SAINT was built for a third party servicer by a third party servicer. This unique perspective resulted in a comprehensive approach that is appreciated by campuses across the country.
The Basics
SAINT Student is customized to the Institution's programs, cost of attendance, workflow, etc. and is then integrated with the college online admissions application. Students are electronically passed to SAINT, which takes the student through a financial aid application. Award estimates are presented to the student within 10 minutes of transferring from the online admissions application. SAINT then walks the student through steps such as choosing a FFELP lender or the Federal Direct Student Loan Program, choosing alternative loans and filling out the FASFA. SAINT loads the ISIRs sent by the Department of Education and systematically notifies the student and college staff if the student was flagged for verification or had a C-code. A wide range of notifications can be integrated to the college call center so calls and e-mails are automatically fired at various points in the process, such as when a student has hit an important milestone or a period of inactivity.
Students are gravitating to online learning and expect online processes. SAINT Software can be deployed online or in a campus kiosk, which allows counselors to manage up to seven students at the same time. SAINT is available 24/7 and sends notifications to students and staff during periods of inactivity or at milestones. SAINT is designed with speed in mind, which is crucial for students evaluating competitive Institutions.
If the student is required to submit physical documents such as a tax return or proof of citizenship, the system notifies the student with a customized e-mail which includes what is needed and a link back to the system. The student prints off a fax barcode cover page which includes the student ID and document type. Our document imaging system updates SAINT; when all document are in a tentative award letter is generated. If the student has not been flagged for verification and has no C-codes, a tentative award is automatically created and the student is notified by e-mail to return to the site to view the details. The award data is then sent to the existing college student information system, including any preexisting financial aid module.

SAINT Software includes extensive reporting allowing you to better manage your student pipeline. All reports are accessible by Admissions, Financial Aid and other predetermined staff. Colleges can pull status of a class start and see the number of students and what stage they are currently in. With this knowledge you can initiate customized outbound call or e-mail programs to maximize enrollment. Additionally, when students call, your Admissions team can see what stage they are in, the images of the documents they submitted and what they must complete.
